There is a set of principles, tried and true, that when followed and applied consistently transforms groups of highly diverse individuals into high performing teams. In this workshop, participants will learn how to apply the principles of collaboration, partnering, and group dynamics to develop high performing teams, and how to foster collaborative relationships with others.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
  • Explain what it means to be a high performing team.
  • Use teambuilding principles to develop a high performing team.
  • Identify the danger signs of the groupthink phenomena and avoid the negative consequences.
  • Identify, facilitate and communicate individual team roles, values, norms and operating principles.
  • Create team accountability.
  • Facilitate partnering agreements.
  • Avoid the major obstacles or leader mistakes that interfere with the development of high performing teams.
  • Implement a personal plan of action that will promote, inspire, and encourage teamwork and collaborative relationships.
Louie Larimer is a long time faculty member of the Chinook Institute and Pacific Program. His presentations always get top evaluation marks. He is loved by the program participants for his presentation skills and persona and the value of what he teaches.

Louie has taught graduate level university courses in law, ethics, leadership, negotiations, and conflict resolution. He has over 35 years' experience as an attorney, real estate broker, founder and CEO of private equity ventures, and corporate educator.

He is the creator and author of many publications including the "Ethical Type Indicator" used in the Chinook Institute and Pacific Program.

Originally from the island of Oahu, Hawaii, he now resides in Colorado Springs with his family. He is an avid reader, writer, golfer, and ukulele musician.
