RE: OSU Parking Inventory methodology

This is a good example of the kind of changes they are proposing in the study.  It really relates to how the parking was organized before and after OSU made the change to a zonal parking system in 2014.

Prior to the change, parking lots were designated either “Staff/Faculty” or “Student/Visitor” and within the Student/Visitor lots there were some spaces that were marked as visitors only and so they were counted out separately.

With the zonal reorganization, spaces were reclassified as Commuter, Short-Term, Reserved, or Metered spaces.  Visitors are allowed to park in the Commuter, Short Term and Metered spaces.

Can someone please provide the current working definitions of "commuter" and "visitor" parking?
