Explore the Corvallis Transit system (CTS) routes and you'll find that they will take you to almost every corner of the city. The Night Owl, which operates late at night, does the same.
All of the routes stop at the Downtown Transit Center (DTC), located at SW 5th Street and Monroe Avenue. Other connecting bus services, like the Linn-Benton Loop, also stop at the DTC. A public restroom at the DTC is open Monday - Saturday, 5 am - 2:30 am. Sensors in the restroom door automatically lock the door when detecting someone has entered the room.
CTS and the Night Owl are fareless! Everyone may ride without paying a fare or showing a special ID.
There is NO bus service for CTS, Night Owl, or Philomath Connection on:
|| Labor Day|
|| New Years Day
|| Thanksgiving Day|
|| Memorial Day
|| Christmas Day|
|| Independence Day
|| For last minute closures and detours please see Service Alerts. |
Try Google Transit
to help map your bus trip, or call CTS customer service
for trip planning assistance, Monday - Friday between 6:15 am and 9:15 pm, and Saturdays between 7:15 am and 8:15 pm. The new "Where's My Bus?"
) feature can help you determine exactly where your CTS bus is, helping you plan your departure.
When a bus changes route numbers at the DTC, it is called a flow-through. You might be able to get to your destination without having to transfer to another CTS bus because most of the CTS bus routes change into a different route when they arrive at the DTC. The current flow-through routes are:
Route 2 - changes into the Route 3, Mon - Fri. // On Saturday Route 2 - changes into the Route 4
Route 3 - changes into the Route 2, Mon - Fri. // On Saturday Route 3 - changes into the Route 8
Route 4 - changes into the Route 8, Mon - Fri. // On Saturday Route 4 - changes into the Route 2
Route 5 - changes into the Route 6
Route 6 - most runs change into the Route 5
Route 8 - changes into the Route 4, Mon - Fri. // On Saturday Route 8 - changes into the Route 3
Route C3 - changes into the Route C2, Mon - Fri.
(Routes 1, 7, and C1 do not change.)
Since CTS buses are fareless, transfer slips between CTS buses are not necessary. However it is helpful to tell the driver that you will be making a transfer; the driver can radio the connecting bus and tell them to expect you.
Administrative Note: The last route revisions became effective September 24, 2012.
Thank you for riding public transportation!
