Chintimini Park's Northeast Lawn area is the Park's largest designated event venue and is the closest to the Park's most popular amenities, including the playground, outdoor restrooms, and the softball field.
The Northeast Lawn is a large, flat and grassy open area. It is close to the parking lot and can be easily combined with the Park's other designated event areas to make an even larger event space, perfect for mid-size and larger festivals, parties and other events.

Rental Rates & Required Fees (2 hour minimum rental per date):

  • Mondays - Thursdays: $30 per hour ($18 per hour for IRS-certified tax-exempt organizations)
  • Fridays - Sundays and Holidays: $38 per hour ($22 per hour for IRS-certified tax-exempt organizations)
  • Trash & disposal fee (minimum fee; additional load fees may be assessed based on actual
    usage. Fee can be waived at the City’s discretion for events with anticipated attendance of
    less than eight hours duration and with fewer than 50 people): $75 per load
Optional Special Use Permits, Utility Fees, and Service Fees
  • Optional special use permit application fees:
    • Alcohol permit: $12, plus general liability insurance. Learn more about the permitting process for events where alcohol will only be consumed and events where alcohol will be sold
    • Barbecue (includes use of BBQ ash can, if needed):  $10
    • Concessions (required for events involving an admission fee or the sale of products/services): $120
    • Sound (amplified): $5
    • Site plan review by Parks Division staff (if needed): $50 minimum
  • Optional access to utilities:
    • Electricity:  $26 per day ($12 per day for tax-exempt organizations certified by the IRS)
    • Water: $10 per day
  • Services & other miscellaneous fees:
    • Indoor restroom access: $29 per day
    • Overnight stay fee for multi-day events (event must be closed from 10 pm - 8 am each day): greater of $100 or 1 hour of fees for all spaces reserved per night
    • Additional City staff event support (per staff person):
      • If requested by renter: $29 per hour
      • If required by City: $15 per hour

Enhance Your Rental with a Reservable Ball Field

Up the fun of your event by adding a Chintimini Park softball field or sand volleyball court to your reservation! Chintimini Park's ball fields and courts are available on a first come, first served basis unless specifically reserved via a permit for your event. The rates for reserving a softball field or sand volleyball court are (prices shown are per field or court):
  • Monday - Thursday: $35 per 2 hour period or $75 for exclusive use all day (8 am - 10 pm)
  • Friday - Sunday & Holidays: $55 per 2 hour period or $100 for exclusive use all day (8 am - 10 pm)
