Patrol's charge is to provide a safe environment for the Corvallis community and to educate the community through enforcement of local, state and federal laws, presentations and responding to calls for service.

Patrol operates in two shifts per day, seven days a week, 24 hours a day and is comprised of 36 sworn patrol officers, six sergeants, two Watch Commanders and supervised by Captain Dan Hendrickson . Officers are assigned to specific districts for their shift (North, South, or Central), but have the flexibility to assist officers as needed. Officers are additionally assigned sectors (NW, NE, CW, CE, SW, SE), where officers are able to become more familiar with the uniquenesses of particular neighborhoods and those who live in those areas to better serve the community with problem solving techniques.Officer Swearing in
