Requesting an ADA ride

Rides are provided on a first-come, first-served, reservation, shared-ride basis.

  • You may request a ride 1-7 days in advance and should schedule your rides at least 1 business day in advance. (Same-day medical transportation service may be provided on a space-available basis.)
  • Call Dial-A-Bus at 541-752-2615, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5:30 pm to schedule rides. (Ride requests left on voice mail after 5:30 pm will be processed the next business day.) Exact addresses and appointment times (when applicable) are needed to request a ride.
  • If you need wheelchair accommodations or will be accompanied by a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) or companion, please notify Dial-A-Bus when reserving your ride. (Some non-standard sized mobility devices may not be accommodated.)
  • Schedule your return time if you know when you will be finished. If you are unsure of your return time, plan on calling Dial-A-Bus when you are ready to return.

Subscription service is the practice of providing repetitive trips over an extended period of time without requiring the rider to call Dial-A-Bus each time to request each trip. Subscription service is limited; if interested, contact Dial-A-Bus to discuss availability. Restrictions may apply.

A home visit is available to help you learn about the program, set up your first appointment, answer questions, and make sure you are comfortable using Dial-A-Bus.

Cancelling Rides

Help Dial-A-Bus operate efficiently by calling to cancel your scheduled rides if your plans change. Since space is limited, this will help to serve as many clients as possible.  In addition, failing to cancel a ride may count as a "no-show."  A pattern of "no-shows" may lead to suspension of service.  See the ADA Paratransit Service Handbook for more information.
