About the Neighborhood

The Avery Helm neighborhood was formed in 2012. The neighborhood's executive board meets monthly and conducts a general meeting at least 1x per year. The neighborhood is located within Corvallis' historic district and has a rich history in our local past. Neighbors have adopted and maintain Little Friends Park which is located in the southern end of the neighborhood and offers a small gathering place for area residents. The primary means of communication is email. Current interests include: maintaining historic character of the neighborhood as well as development and transportation planning around Western Blvd and 5th Street.

Boundaries: Boundaries are established by formal bylaws. South: by Hwy 20/34 bypass, East: Second Street from the bypass to Western Blvd. North: from 2nd St to the alley between between 4th & 5th St. East Alley between 4th and 5th St. running from half block south of Western Boulevatd to Adams Ave. North: Adams Avenue from alley between 4th & 5th streets to 5th St. East: 5th St from Adams Ave to Jefferson Ave. North: North side of Jefferson between 5th and 6th St. West: 6th St from a half block north of Jefferson to the Hwy 20/34 bypass.
