Downtown Vitality
In 2025, the City Council initiated a project to examine economic vitality, infrastructure, and livability issues in downtown Corvallis.
A volunteer task force was created to lead public outreach around these important topics. The goal of the task force is to gather community feedback and make recommendations to the City Council concerning the development of a new Downtown Vitality Strategy for Corvallis.
The task force is made up of community members from throughout Corvallis, including the newly formed Downtown Corvallis Organization, as well as property owners and business managers, representatives from local governments and partner agencies, and elected officials (including City Councilors). The task force began work in May 2025 and will carry out its charge over the next 12 months.
Community Engagement
The task force will hold offer opportunities for community members to engage and share feedback on specific issues downtown. Periodic updates will be shared with the Council, and a final report with findings and prioritized strategy recommendations is expected by Spring 2026.
