City Council Adopts $175.9 Million 2019-20 Budget

The Corvallis City Council voted on June 17 to approve an annual budget totaling $175,974,200 for Fiscal Year 2019-2020. The Council’s action was the final step in the annual budget process, which began in May with a series of Budget Commission meetings and included deliberations, analysis and feedback from the public.

The new budget goes into effect on July 1, when the City of Corvallis begins its new fiscal year.

June 17, 2019 - A pair of public safety fees is set to go into effect on July 1, giving a significant boost to police and fire services in Corvallis at a time when those resources are stretched thin by increasing calls for service.

City of Corvallis Invites Public Comments on Proposed Sewer Use Ordinance Modifications

The City manages an industrial wastewater pretreatment program mandated by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This program regulates the discharge of industrial waste to the sanitary sewer system through the City’s sewer use ordinance. The City intends to modify the sewer use ordinance to comply with DEQ and EPA regulations.

The City of Corvallis has switched billing software systems as of Monday June 17, 2019 and our new on-line payment system is live!  You may register your account and login to pay at this time. All customers will have a new account number, but the new number is easy to figure out. Just reverse the two groups of numbers in your current account number. So, for example, if your account number has been 362507-17670, your new Account Number - Customer Number will be 17670-362507. It’s that easy! The 17670 in this example is the account number, while the 362507 is the customer number.
