Rental Housing Program & Information

For Rent Sign

Rental properties in the City of Corvallis are required to register with the City and pay an annual fee (City of Corvallis Municipal Code Section 8.03.300.065). The income from these fees funds the City’s Rental Housing Program.

The Rental Housing Program:

  • Helps community members navigate basic rental information and questions;
  • Educates landlords and tenants on fair housing regulations and periodically conducts testing for potential housing discrimination; and
  • Collects data to better understand local rental housing trends for community planning and education efforts.

The City of Corvallis web pages linked below provide information and resources for landlords and tenants in our community. If you have questions or need support, check them out and reach out to the Housing & Neighborhood Services Division with additional questions.

Reminders:

  • The Rental Housing Fee in 2026 will be $17/unit. Invoices are typically sent out around the end of September.
  • The 2026 maximum rent increase under Oregon State Residential Landlord and Tenant Law is 9.5% for most rental properties.
