January 6, 2025 - City of Corvallis public safety officials have concluded their initial response at the site of a January 4 trestle bridge incident near Avery Park in Corvallis. The wooden trestle experienced a structural failure, causing a rail car operated by Portland & Western Railroad Inc. to fall into the Marys River. The train was carrying agricultural fertilizer components.
City service fees are monthly charges that appear on the City of Corvallis City Services bill. Fees represent a small charge shared among all Corvallis billing customers to pay for specific services. Rate adjustments are considered annually by the City Council.

The Council will meet in Executive Session under ORS 192.660(2) (e) To conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions.
