Government Comment Corner - Budget Gap (Councilors Mayers and Cadena)

Ward 8 Councilor Carolyn Mayers and Ward 9 Councilor Tony Cadena will host Government Comment Corner at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please stop by to say hello and ask your questions about local government. 

The City of Corvallis is facing a budget gap that will impact core services as early as 2027. Elected officals will be available to share information and talk about possible solutions for the budget gap, including new revenue options to preserve core services. 

This is a structural problem that will only get worse over time. To address the long-term challenges of the rising costs and limited resources, the City Council is focusing on equitable, sustainable revenue solutions that can strategically support core services for years to come.
