Notice of Public Hearing: Resolution Prohibiting Investment in Genocide, Apartheid, and Illegal Occupation
On Monday, October 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. the Corvallis City Council will hold a public hearing at the Downtown Fire Station (400 NW Harrison Boulevard, Corvallis, Oregon) and online (https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_OrhOk4v7S2Cn48zZhq05JA).
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public input on the proposed Resolution Prohibiting Investment in Genocide, Apartheid, and Illegal Occupation. Materials for the public hearing will be published on the City website by Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
How To Participate
Each speaker is limited to three minutes unless otherwise granted by the Mayor. Written testimony is highly encouraged. The deadline to register for oral testimony and to submit written comments is 12:00 pm the day of the public hearing and can be done online (www.corvallisoregon.gov/publicinput), via email (city.recorder@corvallisoregon.gov), via mail (ATTN: City Recorder, P.O. Box 1083, Corvallis, OR 97333-1083), or by telephone (541-766-6901 ext. 3). Speakers must indicate whether they support the proposed resolution, oppose the proposed resolution, or do not necessarily support or oppose the proposed resolution.
Oral Testimony
Council will hear oral testimony from a maximum of 30 speakers (10 in support, 10 in opposition, 10 neutral and organized by position). There will not be a separate “drop-in commenter” opportunity for the public hearing, but any of the 30 spots that remain unfilled by the night of the Public Hearing will be available for in-person or virtual attendees.
