Location: Martin Luther King, Jr. Park (4905 NW Walnut Blvd.)

The Walnut Barn is a converted barn sitting atop a small hill that gives great views of the Park's meadows. Horseshoe courts and volleyball standards are nearby, and a children's play area is within sight  Dogs are allowed off-leash in some sections of the Park, but not near the Barn. Amplified sound is not allowed at Walnut Barn. 

This shelter is close to many of the Avery Park & Natural Area's most popular attractions, including the Rose Garden, locomotive, the dinosaur bones, and a baseball field.

Centrally located within Avery Park & Natural Area, this popular shelter is close to a playground and the horseshoe pits.
