Corvallis Form of Government

Form of Government

The City of Corvallis is governed by a representative government organized pursuant to a Home Rule charter adopted by voters in the 19th century and subsequently amended, the last time in 2021. The Charter establishes the Council-Manager form of government to carry out local governance for the community.

City Legislative Committee

The City Legislative Committee (CLC) discusses issues affecting City government, and makes recommendations to the City Council on City positions, which may then be forwarded to legislators.

Mayor Maughan and Councilors Cadena, Bowden, Ellis and Shaffer are members of the CLC for the 2025-2026 term.

Meeting dates, times, and locations are posted on the City's web calendar and meeting agendas and minutes are available through the Archives site
