City Reopening for Appointments Only on June 1

The City of Corvallis is reopening most facilities and offices for essential business on an appointment-only basis, starting June 1. Customers can call ahead or email city staff to schedule an appointment. Many City services, including Parks and Recreation sign-ups, bill payments, and building permits, can be accessed online at www.corvallisoregon.gov.

During their visit, customers will be asked to follow current public health guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19, including:

  • Stay home if you or someone in your family are sick.
  • Maintain 6 feet of physical distance between visitors and staff.
  • Wear a face covering.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own mask, though a limited number of masks may be available for anyone who doesn’t have one available.

In addition to the appointment-only reopening at sites such as City Hall, the Parks and Recreation Department’s Avery Administrative Office will reopen to walk-up visits on June 1. Calling ahead is not required before visiting the Avery Office, though visitors will need to wear a mask and follow public health guidelines.

The City’s larger public facilities, including the Library, Majestic Theatre, Osborn Aquatic Center, and Corvallis Community Center, remain closed to the public per Governor Kate Brown’s Phase One guidelines.

This announcement is part of the City’s cautious, measured reopening of offices and facilities that had been closed since March, when the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in Oregon. Benton County is currently in Phase One of the Governor’s reopening plan.

Our reopening approach focuses on providing a safe and healthy path forward to reopen City offices, facilities, and programs. The latest information on reopening is available online at www.corvallisoregon.gov/reopening.
