December 16, 2025 Update
In September, the community meeting yielded great participation and feedback from our community members through a survey that was available in person and online. We compiled the data and wanted to share some of the results that helped drive the discussion and the direction for next steps in getting the facility re-opened.

Image description: This pie chart asks which of the three priority facility needs the community would like to pursue first. The pie chart pieces include Priority 1 repairs at 40%, Priority 1 & 2 repairs at 33%, and Priority 1, 2, and 3 repairs at 26%.

Image description: This pie chart displays community approval ratings for various possible funding strategies that could help fund the needed improvements at Osborn Aquatic Center. The pie chart pieces include fundraising and donations at 35%, bonds at 27%, grants at 14%, increased facility rates at 10%, local sales tax at 9%, and a bake sale at 4%.
The Corvallis School District hired DLR (an architectural firm) last month to develop the bid package for the Priority 1 facility repairs, which represent the most urgent improvements that are needed to reopen the facility. From November 2025 to March 2026, DLR will work with City and School District staff to final bid package, with the goal of aiming to start construction in August 2026. The City and School District continue to navigate the budget gap for Priority 1 improvements. The partners are establishing plans with invested community members to develop a subcommittee made up of City, School District, and community members to drive a unified fundraising efforts to reduce the funding gap.
