On July 6, 2023, at approximately 5:38 pm, Corvallis Police and Corvallis Fire personnel responded to the report of an injury crash north of the intersection of Highway 99W and NW Elks Dr in Corvallis.  Investigation determined a Subaru Legacy traveling south on Highway 99W crossed the center lane line causing a head-on collision with a Hyundai Elantra traveling north on Highway 99W.  The driver of the Subaru and only occupant was identified as a 74 year old female, Monmouth resident and she was transported by medics for care. The Hyundai had four occupants.

On the first Red Flag Warning Day of 2023, the Corvallis Fire Department (CFD) responded to two major fires that occurred simultaneously in the mid-valley area.

The Council will meet in Executive Session under ORS 192.660(2)(d) (status of labor negotiations) at 5:15 pm.

June 28 - A project to rebuild and resurface a portion of Circle Boulevard in northeast Corvallis is underway. The project will construct a new road bed and asphalt surface on Circle between the railroad crossings at Highway 99W and Conser Street near the HP Inc. campus.

At 9:27am the Corvallis Police Department received a report of a suicidal woman on the Van Buren Bridge.  Officers responded and located the woman, who climbed up the steel girders to the top of the bridge.  In response, officers blocked the bridge for the safety of the woman and motorists.  The Corvallis Police Department quickly enlisted assistance from Benton County Behavioral Health to help engage with the woman, Benton County Sheriff’s Office marine patrol in case the woman entered the water below, and ODOT to assist with traffic control.
