Town Hall Meeting with Benton County Commissioner Gabe Shepherd

Benton County Commissioner Gabe Shepherd will host a town hall meeting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12 at the Tunison Community Room, 2270 SW Butterfield Dr. The hour-long town hall will give community members an opportunity to get to know the County’s newest commissioner, ask questions and voice concerns. The event is free and open to the public.

City Launches Downtown Facilities Funding Study

June 10, 2025 – The City of Corvallis has launched a comprehensive funding feasibility study to evaluate long-term options for improving two key public facilities located downtown: the Police Station and the Civic Campus. The initiative will evaluate potential funding strategies to support the City’s continued investment in safe, accessible, and community-serving infrastructure.

New Signs Identify Indigenous Creek Names in Rock Creek Watershed

June 6, 2025 - The City of Corvallis Public Works Department installed permanent signs in the Rock Creek Watershed last month, identifying four creeks by their native Kalapuya names, following a recent renaming effort involving Tribal Governments with cultural ties to Marys Peak.
