Council Code of Conduct

At its June 2, 2025, meeting, the 2025-2026 City Council adopted the following Code of Conduct.

 

The Corvallis City Council Code of Conduct promotes a culture of respect, professionalism, transparency, and accountability within the City Council. The Code of Conduct also ensures that all City Council members have the opportunity to participate fully in decision-making processes, while operating in alignment with best practices.

The Osborn Aquatic center is the premier source for swim lessons within the Mid-Willamette Valley. Swimming Lessons aren't just about safety, you learn fun skills that last a lifetime. Highly trained and experienced instructors provide a fun and safe time in the water that will leave you looking forward to your next lesson. Liquid Degree Swimming Lessons teach skills at each level that build towards fundamentally correct and efficient swimming. Whether you're an infant or adult, there is no end to learning!

Due to modified operations with outdoor pools only, schedules for specialty classes will be updated as programs become available. We appreciate your patience and will post updates as soon as they are scheduled.

 

Outdoor Pools

Osborn Aquatic Center Outdoor Pools offers great fun for the entire family during the Summer Time! For more information give us a call at 541-766-SWIM (7946).


Fun Facts About the Otter Beach Pools:

  • The Water Channel was the first of its kind in the state of Oregon.
  • The water slide is the second longest slide at a public swimming pool in the state (estimated at an approximate ride of 12 seconds).
  • Both pools are made by Myrtha, which is based in Italy. The walls for each pool were manufactured there and shipped to Oregon.

Burning Regulations

**Yard Debris Burning is closed within the Corvallis city limits. Yard Debris burning is allowed within the Corvallis Rural Fire Protection District when allowed by DEQ.**

*New for 2026: Burn Permits are no longer required for Yard Debris Burning.*

Volunteer Firefighter Information

Volunteer firefighters are an integral part of the Corvallis Fire Department. The Department maintains a roster of volunteers who augment the ranks of the career personnel and assist with fire suppression, rescue services, emergency medical care, and fire prevention.

The Fire Department has three volunteer programs designed to allow individuals to match their skills and time with the needs of the City and the Rural Fire Protection District:
