Barricaded Subject on NW 12th St

Corvallis Police Officers arrested an armed 42-year-old Corvallis man on Wednesday following a 45-minute standoff at his former residence on NW 12th Street. On April 19, 2023 at about 9:50 am, Officers responded to the 700-block of NW 12th St for a report that Zachery Cochrane broke into a residence he had been evicted from, locked himself inside and was possibly armed with knives.

November 2023 - City Livability Services Local Option Levy

On November 7, 2023, the City Livability Services Local Option Levy passed with 66.5% support.

On July 21, 2023, the City of Corvallis filed a Notice of Measure Election (SEL 802) with the Benton County Elections Division, and the City Livability Services Local Option Levy was assigned measure number #2-141.

Corvallis Fire Awarded New Wildland Fire Engine

April 17, 2023 - The Corvallis Fire Department (CFD) was awarded a new Type 6 wildland fire engine as part of a $25 million statewide engine program from the Oregon Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM).

Corvallis Forest Vision & Guiding Principles Survey

April 17, 2023 - The City of Corvallis Public Works Department is gathering feedback about the vision and guiding principles that will inform our forthcoming update to the Corvallis Forest Stewardship Plan. This plan provides a long-term strategy for sustainably managing the Corvallis Forest, which is part of a larger watershed that feeds into the city's Rock Creek Water Treatment Plant.
