Exterior Light Fixture Guidelines
The City of Corvallis utilizes recommendations and images inspired by organizations such as the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA), International Commission on Illumination (CIE) and Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) for informing and enforcing residential exterior lighting regulations.
New, relocated, or replacement fixtures installed after December 2006 must meet and adhere to the current Land Development Code (LDC) standards found in Section 4.2.80 – Site Lighting. This language is as follows, “Light sources (lamps, light bulbs, LEDs, etc.) must be enclosed within a full cut-off fixture. The fixture must incorporate a translucent lens and/or be fully shielded.”
