Signs

Sign regulations are set forth in Chapter 4.7 of the Corvallis Land Development Code (LDC).  A sign permit must be obtained prior to the placement of any sign on private property, unless the sign type is specifically listed as exempt under LDC Section 4.7.40.  Note also that some sign types are prohibited (see Section 4.7.30).

Sign permit applications must be submitted online along with required plans and specifications at www.corvallispermits.com.  Certain freestanding and attached signs may also require a separate building permit application.  Please refer to the application submittal checklist included with the Sign Permit Application for details on plan requirements and specifications for when a building permit may be required.
