Volunteer Opportunities by Site

  • Parks Division: Volunteer Operation Stewards & Neighborhood Tree Stewards help monitor the diverse array of parks, trail and urban forests within the Corvallis city limits. We also host work parties in the parks and open spaces which individuals and groups can participate in.
  • Avery Recreation: Volunteer in our sports and recreation programs with youth coaching, officiating, scorekeeping, day camp assistance, special events and more.
  • C3 Corvallis Community Center: Volunteer for events, newsletters, or as a class instructor for various age groups.
  • Majestic Theatre: Provides those with a love of the performing arts a chance to interact in many ways: on stage, back stage, in the front of the house, etc. Volunteer opportunities may include: ushers, concessions, tech crew, acting, stage set-up, instructors and many more!
  • Osborn Aquatic Center: The pool has a few opportunities to engage in a place you can get your feet wet. Special event support and facility support are a few of the opportunities to find near the water.
  • Department-wide Events: Our large community events like Turkey Trot and Movie in the Park need many volunteers to support the thousands of participants who flock to them.

Special Programs

Adopt-a-Park Program: If you’re interested about the possibility of adopting the care of a park space, trail or landscape area, Parks and Recreation has an Adopt-A-Park Program that might be right for you and/or your group. For more information click here. A look at what park adoption volunteers do in the Corvallis community can be seen in the 2023 Parks Division Volunteer Impact Report.
