Rental Terms & Conditions

In order to rent the facility, renters must agree to:

  1. Be financially responsible for any costs incurred by the City for damages to City property;
  2. Forfeit all fees and deposits as partial compensations to the City for any costs associated with the enforcement of the provisions of the reservation;
  3. Forfeit all fees and deposits if it is determined that the renter provided false information to the City in order to reserve the facility;
  4. Be financially responsible for any City costs that exceed fees and deposits already collected by the City for enforcement of provisions related to this reservation.
Alcohol Use / Service 
(For all reservations except those at the Corvallis Community Center).
  1. Alcohol may be consumed with the purchase of an Alcohol Permit and proof of $1 million in General Liability Insurance with Host or Retail Liquor coverage and the City of Corvallis must be listed as an additional insured.  This document provides instructions and suggestions for obtaining the required insurance.  En Espanol.
  2. Alcohol permits are only issued to individuals aged 21 or older; ID is required. No permit request will be reviewed prior to receipt of the proof of General Liability Insurance with Host or Retail liquor coverage. 
  3. Renters will be given a copy of the City's codes regarding alcohol in public places and must agree to abide by these codes.
Amplified Sound
  1. Amplified sound is allowed with an approved Sound Permit, with the exception of Walnut Barn (effective 07/22/19). No permit request will be reviewed prior to receipt of the permit fee.  Even if you are only using a radio or blue tooth - it is considered amplified sound.
  2. Renters will be given a copy of the City's codes regarding amplified sound in public places and must agree to abide by these codes.
**Refund Policy**
  1. Alcohol and sound permit fees are non-refundable.
  2. Refunds for rental fees will not be given if the written request is received less than thirty (30) business days before the date of the event. 
  3. No refunds are granted due to inclement weather, unless the rental facility is officially closed by order of the City Manager. 
  4. When a written rental fee refund is requested and approved, a $10 processing fee will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Making a Reservation
(For all reservations except those at the Corvallis Community Center at Chintimini Park, 
the Majestic Theatre, or the Osborn Aquatic Center).

  1. These rooms and spaces are available to rent year-round (unless otherwise noted) and can be reserved as early as eighteen months in advance of the date of your event.
  2. Call Corvallis Parks & Recreation’s Main Office at (541) 766-6918 during regular business hours (excluding holidays) to check availability, and to make a reservation. 
  3. Be sure to tell the staff person processing your reservation if your event will be charging entry fees, selling products, allow alcohol service, sales, and/or consumption, or using amplified sound, since additional fees and/or permits may be required for your event.
  4. Additional fees/requirements may also apply if your activity or event is outside of a standard group gathering. Corvallis Parks & Recreation staff can help you determine if these fees apply to your event. Please call (541) 766-6918 with your questions.
  5. Full payment is due at the time the reservation is made. Credit cards are accepted over the phone.  Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards are accepted for payment. Cash and checks are also accepted for payment.
