ODOT Harrison Boulevard & Tyler Avenue Project
During much of 2025, the City of Corvallis and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) collaborated on completing a project along NW Harrison Boulevard between 2nd and 4th Streets, as well as a separate, but related project on Tyler Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Streets.
The project removed outdated equipment and replaced it with more modern technology along with reconsidering how people walk and ride in the area. Below are the enhancements we now have with the completion of the project:
- A protected bicycle corridor from 2nd to 4th Street along Harrison Boulevard
- A concrete median pedestrian island that restricts some vehicle movements at 2nd Street & Tyler Avenue
- Curb extensions at 3rd Street & Tyler Avenue
- ADA ramp upgrades throughout the project area
- Lighting, signage and pavement marking upgrades
- Replacement of two traffic signals. One at 2nd Street and another at 3rd Street and Harrison Boulevard
