Open Streets Corvallis’ Free Street Festival Returns to South Corvallis
June 5, 2025 – Open Streets Corvallis will blend active transportation and imagination for its 7th annual street festival that connects people and neighborhoods through shared activity in our public spaces. With a focus on community connection and movement, the event will feature activity hubs at three locations: Lilly Park and Willamette Park will bookend a mile-long route for non-motorized traffic, with a mid-route hub at Alexander Avenue. Open Streets Corvallis will take place Sunday, June 29th from 11 am to 3 pm.
A parade led by jazz and funk band, DTW, will begin at 11:15 am, traveling from Lilly Park to Willamette Park. Anyone may join. Participants should gather at Lilly Avenue, near the southeast corner of the park a few minutes beforehand.
Event Activities include:
- Live music from Singchronicity and Mule on Fire at Willamette Park
- Performances, dancing and live music at Lilly Park (see event schedule)
- Beer gardens and food at both parks
- A pop-up market organized by Flicker and Fir at the Alexander Avenue activity hub
- Giant-sized games, a mountain bike course, archery, gymnastics, arts & crafts, and more!
- Kinetic teeter totter and velocopter (bicycle-powered carnival ride)
- Front yard activities set up by neighbors along the event route
Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, roll or take the bus to the event. An event shuttle will travel between the Downtown Transit Center and the two parks, with stops at the corner of Atwood Avenue and Bethel Street, and the Willamette Park Community Garden parking lot. A group bike ride to the event will leave from Garfield Park in northwest Corvallis at 10:30 am.
Volunteers are needed! Help clean-up, keep people hydrated, monitor waste stations, manage intersections, and more. Perks include a free event t-shirt, snacks, and a darn good time. Sign-ups available online.
