Street Work on 35th Street and Western Boulevard
March 18, 2026 - Grinding and paving along 35th Street and Western Boulevard will get underway in late March, according to Corvallis Public Works project engineers. This is the final step to complete a water pipeline replacement project that began last summer.
Work will take place the week of March 23 through March 27 and will focus on 35th Street from Washington Way to Western Boulevard, and on Western Boulevard from West Hills Road to 35th Street. The work will also include lane striping of the new asphalt surface.
Travelers should expect traffic control measures on both roads during the week of March 23. Message boards will be installed about a week before the work begins to help travelers plan ahead. At times during the week, 35th Street and Western Boulevard will be temporarily closed to complete portions of the work. Detours will be in place to direct traffic around the locations.
This final step of the project was carefully timed to take place during spring break, to minimize the impacts on the traveling public.
