Corvallis Police Investigating Robbery at ATM -- UPDATE

On December 27th, 2017, at approximately 10:16 am, Corvallis Police Department Officers responded to the Bank of America at 324 SW 3rd ST, after a 911 caller reported an unknown male came up from behind the victim, as cash was being dispensed from the ATM outside the bank, and grabbed the victim’s money.  The suspect did not display or use any weapons, but wrestled the cash away from the victim and fled westbound on foot from the area.  The victim was uninjured. 

On January 4, 2018, 28 year old Christopher J. Becker of Philomath was arrested on charges related to this case.  Becker was arrested in Lincoln County and later transported to back to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged on multiple charges including Robbery III, Theft II, and Harassment with a bail of $40,000.
