Corvallis Police Welcome Newest Member: Patrol Canine Mazikeen

 

The Corvallis Police Department is excited to announce the addition of our newest member of patrol, Patrol Canine Mazikeen, Badge Number 899. Mazikeen is an 18-month-old Dutch Shepherd who is a native Oregonian. Canine Mazikeen and her handler, Officer Caleb Wistock, just completed an intensive four-week course culminating in her certification through the Oregon Police Canine Association (OPCA). Canine Mazikeen is certified as a Patrol canine, who specializes in tracking, trailing, building searches and apprehension. Mazikeen is especially talented at hide and go seek and really enjoys her work. Canine Mazikeen and Officer Wistock look forward to serving and helping their community and we are delighted to have this new patrol team serving within our ranks.
