Heavy Rains Expected in Corvallis

High water under a bridge

December 18, 2025 - The National Weather Service reports that a period of wet weather bringing heavy rainfall will be moving through the Corvallis area, starting Thursday and continuing through the weekend. These rains will likely result in localized street flooding due to storm drains plugged by leaves and debris.

If local flooding does occur, you are encouraged to assist by clearing blocked storm drains of leaves and debris, when possible. However, you should NOT remove any storm drain covers or grates. If a storm drain on the street within the Corvallis city limits is completely plugged, please contact Public Works at 541-766-6916.

Latest Updates

The Willamette River is expected to rise to just below action stage. The Marys River is expected to rise to minor flood stage near Philomath. Please remember to bring your own shovel to fill the bags:

  • Willamette Park--Next to community gardens

  • Cheldelin Middle School--987 NE Conifer Blvd., west parking lot.
