Man Robs Corvallis Credit Union

On January 22nd, 2018, at approximately 2:54 PM, Corvallis Police Department Officers responded to the Central Willamette Credit Union at 555 NE Circle Blvd for a report of a robbery that just occurred.  A male entered the credit union and presented a note to the teller demanding money.  No weapon was displayed during the robbery, and no employees were injured.  After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the credit union.  Investigators determined the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Christopher J. Becker of Philomath, arrived at and then left from the credit union in a taxicab.  Shortly after leaving the area of the credit union, he exited the taxicab on foot.

Becker has not yet been located, and Corvallis Police Detectives are requesting the public’s help in locating him.  Becker was previously arrested by CPD for a robbery at the Bank of America ATM in downtown Corvallis on December 27th, 2017, where he wrestled a victim’s cash away from them as the machine dispensed it.

Below is a photo of Becker along with an image from the credit union.  If you see Becker, do not approach him, but call 9-1-1 to report his whereabouts.  Anyone with further information related to the robbery can contact Detective Pete Dunn at 541-766-6433.
