Federal, state, and local fair housing laws prohibit rental housing owners, property managers, and landlords from discriminating against certain groups in any aspect of residential renting activities, including advertising, screening, and on-going management. This 2-hour session will cover fair housing laws and responsibilities as they relate to individuals with criminal histories. Topics covered will include disparate impact in the housing application process, the reasonable accommodation and modification process relating to the protected class of disability, and how housing providers can support applicants with criminal histories.

Sponsored by the City of Corvallis in partnership with the City of Albany and the Linn-Benton Rental Housing Association. Presented by Fair Housing Council of Oregon.
