Land Use Cases - Archives

The Planning Division maintains both paper files and electronic databases that contain information about land use case history, activities, decisions, documents, and maps. Land use records in Corvallis date back to the 1800s, primarily in the form of ordinances related to various land use regulations. The first Corvallis zoning ordinance was adopted in 1932. Land use case information available through this website includes access to the City's land use case database (Accela Automation Citizen Portal) and the City's electronic document management system (Laserfiche Weblink). 

Public Records Requests 
Due to the volume of documents that the Planning Division processes and maintains, it is recommended that interested parties first narrow their research, as best they can, to specific documents or topic areas, so that staff can efficiently find the information being requested. Here are some helpful hints to find the information you need:

  • Please use our on-line databases, linked above, to find information about specific land use cases.
  • If you are interested in projects that are currently active, you may find our Land Use Public Hearing Dates & Staff Reports page helpful.
  • If you already know what information you are looking for, and want to purchase either paper copies, or view the documents in person, you may fill out a Public Records Request.
  • Some older land use records and long-range planning documents (prior to 2000) may not be available in electronic format at this time.  It is recommended that you contact the Planning Division for access to records that are not available electronically, and for help determining which records may provide the information that you are looking for.

The Community Development Department strives to provide information about all land use applications and decisions in an electronic format, as quickly as possible.
