A Neighborhood Bikeway has been built on Tyler Avenue between 1st Street and the west side of Kings Boulevard. The Bikeway is identified as a High Priority Project (Project B39) in the City's Transportation System Plan and will include bicycle guide signage, pavement markings, speed humps, and other treatments designed to provide a safe and comfortable street for bicyclists and pedestrians.

9th Street and Tyler Avenue Intersection Project
City staff have completed design and installation of the Tyler Avenue Neighborhood Bikeway along the project span with exception of the 9th Street and Tyler Avenue intersection. This remaining portion of the Neighborhood Bikeway is considered a special project needing its own design, scope and budget. The schedule below identifies the timeline.
The city is working with a consultant to design an enhanced crossing to better facilitate people crossing 9th Street. Public input on the proposed treatments will come in a separate round of public engagement.
