Parking Meters
City of Corvallis maintains over 600 parking meters in downtown and along Monroe Avenue near Oregon State University. These parking meters have the time limit posted on the side of the meter and also on the top inside the glass window. Each meter indicates the number of minutes given for each coin deposited. A vehicle is allowed to park at a meter only for the maximum time indicated on the meter. "Meter Feeding" or returning to deposit more coins for additional time without moving your vehicle is not allowed per Municipal code 6.11.080.
Meter Rates:
- 24 Minute Limit $.5o per 24 minutes
- 1 Hour Limit $1.00 per hour
- 2 Hour Limit $1.00 per hour
- 10 Hour Limit $.3o per hour
Pay Stations:
City of Corvallis currently employ three pay stations, two pay stations on First Street between Van Buren and Monroe, and one on Washington Avenue between First Street and Second Street. These pay stations serve between 30 and 48 parking spaces each, eliminating the need for individual meters at each parking stall. The pay stations manage either two-hour or ten-hour parking spaces.
10-Hour Parking Permit:
Ten-hour meters provide a convenient parking option for employees in the downtown area. Ten-hour parking permits, which are available at Public Works, provide a discounted cost for parking at 10-hour meters. Ten-hour meters are located throughout downtown and are identified by a yellow painted cap. A 10-hour permit can only be used at spaces with 10-hour meters or 10-hour pay stations. The 10-hour permit does not guarantee a space at a specific 10-hour meter. The number of permits issued will not exceed the number of 10-hour spaces available. Motorists without 10-hour permits are permitted to use coins in the 10-hour meters.
Permits can be obtained at Corvallis Public Works. View a printable map of meter locations here.
Permit Cost:
- $56 One Month
- $166 Three Months (Quarterly)
- $606 One Year (Annual)
