The Corvallis Forest Stewardship Plan Update Task Force has drafted REVISED Vision and Guiding Principles for the Corvallis Forest Stewardship Plan. The next step in this process is to solicit public input to the Task Force on the draft Vision and Guiding Principles before the Task Force finalizes their recommended revisions and presents them to the Corvallis City Council on June 22, 2023. The Task Force is soliciting feedback on this work product from Friday, April 14, 2023, through April 28th, 2023. To provide input to the Task Force on the DRAFT Vision and Guiding Principles, please complete this survey [survey closed]. You can also submit input to the Task Force via email at CFSPUTF@corvallisoregon.gov. A summary of the comments received will be provided in the meeting packet for the May 24, 2023 Task Force Meeting.

February 1, 2023
The Task Force will begin to discuss the current vision and guiding principles of the Corvallis Forest Stewardship Plan on February 22, 2023. The current Corvallis Forest Stewardship Plan (2013 CFSP) was developed through a robust public engagement process. It was built on a strong foundation of an overall vision statement and nine guiding principles. As City staff and the Task Force begin updating the CFSP, it makes sense to start with an evaluation of the existing vision statement and guiding principles. At the Task Force's meeting on February 22, 2023, they will learn about these existing plan elements and discuss whether amendments should be considered as part of the CFSP update. City staff and the Task Force would like to hear from you in preparation for that meeting!
Do you have thoughts, comments, or questions you would like the Task Force to keep in mind while they discuss the vision and guiding principles (as listed below or see pages 7 and 8 of the current plan linked above.)? If so, please provide your input by emailing City staff at RCWTF@corvallisoregon.gov. Input received by February 17th will be included in the Task Force packet for discussion at the February 22, 2023 meeting. If you are unable to submit your comments by the 17th but still want to provide input for the February 22nd meeting, please inquire with staff at the email above.
