Week of May 26, 2026 – Division Improvements
- NO WORK MONDAY 5/25
- Road reconstruction the remaining part of the week, road closed to thru traffic to continue at Garfield with delayed access at times.
- This work will consist of removal of curb on both sides of Division St including a portion of the driveways along with removal of the roadway. Any removed material will be replaced with rock. At the curb line this area will be lower than the roadway in order to accommodate the construction of the new curb and gutter. Smooth transition will be maintained until concrete work is complete.
- Residents will not have access to driveways including apartment access during construction hours during the week from Garfield to Cleveland. Plan on parking on adjacent streets.
- Driveway access will be available at the end of the day.
- Emergency access will be granted if needed during construction.
- It is highly recommended that vehicles be parked on adjacent streets otherwise vehicles may not be able to be moved until excavation and backfill of area is complete, which can take up to 4 hours.
- Residents on Hobart should use Cleveland or Spruce.
- No parking signs will be placed along both sides of Division St. Any vehicles parked in areas where no parking is posted will be towed at owners expense.
Week of May 18, 2026 – Division Improvements
- Remaining storm pipe installation at the intersection of Division St and Division Pl to be completed Monday
- Expect closure from Cleveland to Spruce with access to Division Pl off of Cleveland.
- Road Reconstruction the remaining part of the week starting at Garfield and working north.
- This work will consist of removal of curb on both sides of Division St including a portion of the driveways at the curb line along with removal of the road way. Week of May 4, 2026 – Division Improvements
- New storm pipe and manhole installation starting near Garfield and working north. This work is expected to take 2 weeks before transitioning into the next phase of the project.
- Block to block road closure will be in effect.
- Plan to use the posted detour route.
- Residents should expect to go around work zone using detour if construction equipment is blocking access.
- Emergency vehicle access will be maintained to the fullest.
- All water line installation will be complete Monday 5/4, no other water disruptions after Monday are expected during the duration of the project.
Week of April 27, 2026 – Division Improvements
- Water mainline connections from old to new.
- Water service locations to be disconnected during this work:
- Wednesday
- East side of Cleveland from Division to Walmart parking lot entrance.
- 1655 Division St Apartments
- Division Pl., entire block
- Thursday
- West side Cleveland from Division to Highland
- Hobart ave entire block
- Grace Center 980 Nw Spruce.
- Friday
- Floating day for any shut downs that do not get completed on Wednesday or Thursday.
Week of April 20, 2026 – Division Improvements
- Water mainline testing most off the week:
- Flushed water will overflow onto streets for testing periodically during testing.
- No disruptions to water service should occur during the first half of the week during the testing period.
- Following passing water tests the contractor will start transferring new water connections over to existing plumbing Friday 4/24 and continuing the week of April 27th. New water connections may start as early as 7am and continue until 6pm.
- Door hangers should be placed 48 hours prior to shut down for residents, any business shall receive additional notice.
- Block to block road closures to thru traffic to continue.
Week of April 13, 2026 – Division Improvements
- Water mainline installation at intersecting locations.
- Excavation and installation for water services across the road.
- Temporary road patch to be placed as weather allows along division
- No disruptions to water service are expected, any disruptions that occur will likely be caused by active construction incidents and will be repaired as soon as possible the same day.
- Block to block road closures to thru traffic to continue.
Week of April 6, 2026 – Division Improvements
- Water mainline installation continuing headed north on Division from Cleveland into Spruce.
- Excavation for main line east across the road at intersections and other large complex’s to occur late in the week.
- No disruptions to water service are expected, any disruptions that occur will likely be caused by active construction incidents and will be repaired as soon as possible the same day.
- Block to block road closures to thru traffic to continue as needed.
Week of March 30, 2026 – Division Improvements
- Water mainline installation continuing headed north on Division
- No disruptions to water service are expected, any disruptions that occur will likely be caused by active construction incidents and will be repaired as soon as possible the same day.
- Water main installation will primarily stay on west side of the road.
- The roadway will remain rocked in excavated areas during the week with temporary pavement to be placed at end of the week if asphalt is available.
Week of March 23, 2026 – Division Improvements
- Excavation at the corner of Garfield and Division will take place the beginning of the week.
- Middle part of the week will consist of finishing installation of sewer work.
- Contractor to begin water pipe material prep, with the later half of the week consisting with new water main installation along the west side of the road starting at Garfield moving north.
- Please adhere to no parking signs.
- Driveway access will be limited at times while new water main excavation and installation passes driveways on the west side of Division.
Week of March 16, 2026 – Division Improvements
- Beginning of the week will consist with tree removal , expect up to two different tree cutting services to be on site performing this work.
- Later half of the week the contractor will be potholing existing underground utilities and possibly pivoting into sewer main line excavation in isolated locations for coming replacement work.
- Contractor continuing to receive delivery materials on site.
- Road closure for construction areas and unloading construction materials.
- “No parking” signs will be placed to identify on-street parking areas where work will be taking place or equipment will be used. Please avoid parking in areas that are signed for “No Parking”.
- NWNG will be performing gas relocation work along Division separate from this project.
Week of March 9, 2026 – Division Improvements:
- Contractor mobilizing equipment and materials on site.
- Road closure for saw cutting in construction areas and unloading construction materials.
- “No parking” signs will be placed to identify on-street parking areas where work will be taking place or equipment will be used. Please avoid parking in areas that are signed for “No Parking”.
